After many lucky coincidences Design House Idoli has an opportunity to showcase their Mediterranean-Arctic-Ocean-philosophy in a magnificent way. The winter season 2019 exhibition includes two oil paintings from Simafra, a Florentine artist who has recently taken the international art world by storm.
Simafra gets his inspiration from nature. The two pieces on display in Idoli have been inspired by the artists trip to Lapland. Other pieces of the Lapland series have been acquired to reputable Alessandro Grassi-collection. The connection of the Arctic Ocean and the Mediterranean have once again proven its power to enhance creativity.
Simafra is a newcomer in the top of the global art industry. He had his first private exhibition in 2015 in Galerie Virginie Barrou Planquart in Paris, followed by various art fair exhibitions all around Europe. His breakthrough to the awareness of the international art world was earned in 2017 with an exhibition titled Eden. Held in the London-based Maddox Gallery, the exhibition was an enormous success and quickly after it, Simafra’s work has been very sought after, purchased by international celebrities and many valued collections.
Simafra is considered especially talented and the value of his art is expected to keep rising. (Ie. Italian Art publication Exibart: 222 Emerging Artists worth investing in 2018). In 2019 Simafra’s reputation is growing in the USA and the Middle East. We in Idoli are waiting for his next trip to Lapland to enjoy our small part in this interesting art story.
